Roth Honored as NFHCA's Division-I Offensive Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – The accolades keep pouring in for Clara Roth as she was honored as the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association Division-I Offensive Player of the Week, the organization released today.

Roth picked up her first career hat trick and added an assist as Princeton ran by Brown, 6-0, on Saturday. She contributed two more goals and a helper as the Tigers took down Boston University, 3-1, on Sunday. The junior has corralled a goal in five straight games and in seven of her last eight contests. Roth also has a helper in three consecutive meetings.

For her career, Roth has already matched personal best for a season with 13 tallies and has set new career benchmark with 36 points this year. She is currently 11th all-time in points with 94 and tied for eight in assists (30).

The Tiger has not only been one of the best players in the Ivy League, but the best in the country. She is in the top 11 among all players in points (2.57, fifth), goals (0.93, eighth) and assists (11th, 0.71) per game.

Princeton sits at 10-4 overall and 4-0 in the Ivy League. The Tigers will take their seven-game winning streak to No. 14 Harvard on Saturday (12 p.m.) in a battle of the top two schools in the conference.
