Men's Cross Country Team to Aim for Third Straight Ivy Title Friday
October 30, 2019 | Men's Cross Country
Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx will welcome the Ivy League cross country teams in pursuit of the Ivy title, a prize that Princeton has won each of the last two years and nine of the last 13.
Friday's race is set for a noon start.
The Tigers won the 2018 title with 30 points and a 31-point margin over runner-up Harvard, putting four runners in the top six and all five scorers in the top 13. Four of those five are on the team this year, led by Conor Lundy, who was less than a second behind Harvard's Kieran Tuntivate for the individual title, as well as top-six finishers in Gannon Willcutts and Matt Grossman and fifth scorer Ed Trippas. Chris Bendtsen '14, in 2012, is the last Tiger to win the Ivy individual title.
Princeton carries a No. 25 national ranking by the USTFCCCA and the organization's top regional ranking into the meet, both the best in the Ivy.
Live scoring will be available here.
