Fillier Earns Consecutive ECAC Honors, Named Suburban Transit GPT Athlete of the Week

For the second consecutive week, Princeton sophomore Sarah Fillier is the ECAC Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

She is also the Suburban Transit GoPrincetonTigers.com all-sport Athlete of the Week.

Fillier had both goals in eighth-ranked Princeton's 2-1 win over No. 5/5 Clarkson last Friday night during the Black Out Baker event, and she added another Saturday in a 6-2 win over St. Lawrence, giving the Tigers a 4-0 lead in that game.

With the four points, Princeton maintained its place atop the ECAC with 14 points, three in front of Cornell. The Tigers and Big Red will meet when ECAC Hockey League play resumes Dec. 6 at Baker following the Thanksgiving weekend break.

The three goals upped her season total to seven, and her assist on Princeton's fifth goal in Saturday's game was her team-high 10th of the season. Over the past two weeks, both of which have netted Fillier the ECAC weekly honor, she has scored six goals and added five assists as Princeton won all four games.
