The top-ranked Princeton women's squash team has been a model of efficiency throughout the season, and it has shown the ability to rise to the occasion in 5-4 road wins at both Trinity and Yale. The Tigers will try to go up another level Saturday and stun the sport when they try to end a 57-match win streak by the reigning national champion Harvard Crimson.
Princeton and Harvard remain the only unbeaten teams in the sport, and they will meet Saturday at 2:30 pm — following the men's match vs. #1 Harvard — in a match streamed live on ESPN+. The top five courts for both Saturday's showdown vs. Harvard and the Sunday match against Dartmouth (1:30 pm) will be streamed live on ESPN+; you can find links to all courts above.
Princeton ascended to the top spot in the CSA rankings based on the strength of schedule from its win over Trinity. The Tigers have won 23 of their last 24 regular-season matches, but that lone loss came 8-1 at Harvard last season. Current junior Morgan Steelman had the lone win for the Tigers in Boston, a 3-1 victory at the #8 position. Steelman was one of eight Tigers who bring the momentum of an individual win over Penn Wednesday night into the weekend, as Princeton handled the fifth-ranked Quakers in impressive fashion during the team's first match back from exams.
Princeton is looking for its first win over Harvard since a dramatic 5-4 home win over the Crimson that led the Tigers to the 2013 Ivy League title.
On Sunday, Princeton will host #10 Dartmouth, a match that also follows the men's showdown against the Big Green. Princeton swept Dartmouth 9-0 in Hanover last year, and the Big Green enter the weekend with a 4-4 record.
