Final Playoff Push as No. 6 Princeton Faces No. 5 Clarkson and St. Lawrence

EYE ON THE TIGERS
With two games left in the regular season Princeton can clinch the No. 1 seed in the ECAC with three points this weekend. Cornell, Clarkson and Colgate are all in contention to take that top spot, a place Princeton has held the entire season. The Tigers are No. 6 in the nation with an 18-4-5 overall record.
A top-10 finalist for the Patty Kazmaier, freshman Sarah Fillier leads not only the Tigers but the nation in scoring, averaging 2.04 points per game. She has scored 16 goals and 31 assists for 47 points and has the most assists per game in the nation. Freshman Maggie Connors has 24 goals and 13 assists for 37 points, leads the nation in power-play goals, is third in freshmen scoring and 10th in scoring overall. Junior Carly Bullock adds 18 goals and 18 assists and junior defender Claire Thompson has 27 points in 27 games to have the third best scoring for a defenseman in the nation. Sophomore Rachel McQuigge is 10-4-4 in goal and has a .932 save percentage (10th) and a 1.75 goals against average (6th).
Princeton is fourth in the D1 in scoring offense (3.70 gpg), fourth in scoring defense (1.85 gpg) and has the best power play (27.5%).
SEEDING SCENARIOS
Princeton (33 pts), Cornell (32), Clarkson (30) and Colgate (29) have each clinched a top four seed in the ECAC Tournament and will host a quarterfinal round next weekend. The Tigers can clinch first place with three points this weekend. RPI (21), St. Lawrence (21), Harvard (20) and Quinnipiac (20) will each finish 5-8. In tie-breaking scenarios - Princeton would have the edge over Cornell and Colgate based on head-to-head results.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS
Clarkson has gone to overtime in each of its last three games is 24-7-1 overall and No. 5 in the national poll. They were upset by Dartmouth in overtime on Friday before recovering with a win over Harvard in overtime on Saturday. Senior Loren Gabel and sophomore Elizabeth Giguere each have 59-point seasons and were both recently named to the top-10 finalists for the Patty Kazmaier. Junior Michaela Pejlova adds 48 points and T.T. Cianfarano, a transfer from Quinnipiac, has 23. Ohio State transfer Kassidy Sauve has made 28 starts in goal and has a 1.80 GAA and a .931 save percentage. She had 37 saves in Clarkson's 3-1 win over Princeton on Feb. 2 as the Tigers outshot the Golden Knights 38-20. Gabel scored twice and finished with three points and Giguere had two assists.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
St. Lawrence enters the weekend at 13-13-6 overall and at 8-7-5 in the ECAC and has already clinched a spot in the tournament, those its seed is still to be determined. The Saints are winless in its last four with a loss to Harvard and draws with Dartmouth, Colgate and Cornell. Senior Justin Reyes leads the team with 25 points, scoring nine goals and 16 assists. Senior Rachel Smith adds 10 goals and 10 assists, while junior Kalie Grant one point back with 19. Seniors Grace Harrison and Sonjia Shelly have split playing time in goal. Harrison has a .925 save percentage and a 2.16 GAA, while Shelly sports a .915 save percentage and a 2.01 GAA. It was Harrison in net in the first meeting this year, stopping 27 shots as St. Lawrence outshot Princeton 41-31. Princeton's Steph Neatby made 38 saves in the win with Maggie Connors netting the game-winning goal in overtime.
