Princeton Has 15 Named To Zag Sports Tours/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad

PRINCETON, N.J. – 15 Princeton Tigers were named to the 2018 Zag Sports Tours /NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad, the organization announced today.

The Division I National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year.

Miami University led all institutions with 21 National Academic Squad selections. Five schools tied for second-most — Brown, Bucknell, Harvard, Sacred Heart and Temple had 20 National Academic Squad selections.

Maddie Bacskai, Grace Brightbill, Nicole Catalino, Hannah Davey, Jane Donio-Enscoe, Annabeth Donovan, Krista Hoffman, Sarah Holland, Margaret Lynch, Taylor Nolan, Clara Roth, Emma Street, Casey Swezey, Carlotta von Gierke and Elise Wong. Wong earned national academic squad recognition for all four years.

Princeton finished 15-5 overall and reached the NCAA Final Four for the second time in three years. More than half of their victories (eight) came against ranked opponents, leading them to be named the No. 3 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
