Welcome To The Big Dance:
•Princeton has been to the NCAA Tournament eight times in the last 10 years, all under head coach Courtney Banghart. The Tigers last went to the Big Dance in 2018 where they were the No. 12 seed in the Kansas City Bracket. They were also in the Raleigh, N.C. quad, falling to No. 16 Maryland in the first round. The program has won 14 Ivy titles, 10 of which have been outright.
•The Tigers made four straight trips to the Big Dance from 2010-13 and then became the first Ivy League school to ever receive an at-large bid in 2016. In 2015, the team finished the regular season 30-0, won its first NCAA game over Green Bay, 80-70, and became just the second Ivy League team to ever win a contest in the NCAA Tournament.
•Princeton is the No. 11 seed in the Greensboro bracket. Kentucky went 24-7 this season and is No. 17 in the latest USA Today Sports Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll. The Wildcats lost in the SEC Quarterfinals to Missouri, but sit with an RPI of 22. The Tigers are 1-22 all-time against ranked opponents. Princeton last defeated a ranked foe in Jan. of 1978 (No. 18 Rutgers, 70-57).
•The winner of the Princeton-Kentucky game will take on the winner of the other opening round game in Raleigh between the three-seed North Carolina State and 14th-seeded Maine. That game will be held Monday, at a time to be determined.
