Princeton Competes at Raleigh Relays in Distance, Middle Distance & Javelin

Fourteen Tigers will compete at the Raleigh Relays this weekend. The middle distance and distance corps along with the javelin throwers head to NC State for the two-day meet at Paul Derr Track & Field Facility

Princeton opened the outdoor season last week at the University of North Florida - the site of the 2019 NCAA East Regionals. Sophomore Rylie Pease set the program record in the javelin with a mark of 48.0 to erase a 27-year record held by Missy Hake '92. Pease's mark is the seventh best throw in Ivy League history. Sophomore Obiageri Amaechi won the discus on her first attempt with a 55.16 and junior Ellen Scott-Young was second in the hammer at 54.73. Junior Alie Fordyce had a PR in the 800 at 2:11.09 and senior Anna Jurew clocked a PR of 4:27.94 in the 1500. Senior Allie Klimkiewicz ran a 10:30.07 for a new PR, second place at the meet, and the ninth best time in Princeton history.
