PRINCETON, N.J. – A six-run sixth inning proved to be the difference as the Seton Hall Pirates nabbed a 7-2 victory over the Princeton Tigers at Clarke Field on Wednesday afternoon.

Casey Dana's grand slam in the sixth was the big blow as the Pirates tacked on two more runs in the frame to put up the big number. A RBI single from Sebastiano Santorelli gave Seton Hall its seventh run of the contest.

A few batters later, Chris Davis had a ball hit the first base bag and get into right field, allowing Ramzi Haddad to score and put the Tigers ahead, 2-0.

Following Seton Hall's sixth inning, the Tigers put together a threat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out, Sy Snedeker singled and eventually got to third base on two walks, but Princeton's rally ended on a strikeout.

Davis had two hits, leading the Tigers. Trey Ramsey had two perfect frames while Conor Nolan did not allow a base runner. Seton Hall had four hitters with multi-hit performances while the pitching staff combined for 10 punchouts in the win.

Princeton fell to 6-19 this season while Seton Hall jumped to 14-15 overall. The Tigers head to Philadelphia for a three-game set vs. the Penn Quakers, who is tied at the top of the Ivy League at 6-3 with Harvard and Columbia. Because of impending weather, the Quakers' series has been moved to Friday (3 p.m.) with the doubleheader still remaining on Saturday (11:30 a.m.).
