No. 7 Princeton Seeks Carnegie Cup At No. 1 Yale Saturday

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 7 Princeton men's heavyweight rowing team gets its chance at the two-time defending national champion, Yale Bulldogs, in New Haven, Conn. on Saturday (Apr. 27).
Princeton, Yale and Cornell will battle for the Carnegie Cup on Saturday. The Bulldogs have won the last five Carnegie Cups with Princeton's last win coming in 2013. Cornell's last victory was in 2012. The Tigers have won the most Carnegie Cups with 37 total, followed by Cornell (34) and Yale (26).
Last week, Harvard held on to the Compton Cup for the third straight year, outlasting Princeton by 7.5 seconds. The 2V group dropped a competitive battle, finishing just 2.9 seconds behind the Crimson. The 3V (5:36.9) continued their perfect season, taking the victory by over four seconds over visiting Harvard (5:41.1). 4V earned the decision in its clash with a 3.2 second margin while the Crimson earned the 5V contest by almost three seconds.
Next week, the Tigers host the Brown Bears (May 4), seeking to regain the Content Cup.
