Heavyweights Seek To Regain Content Cup Against No. 5 Brown

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 7 Princeton Tigers host the No. 5 Brown Bears at Lake Carnegie on Saturday morning (May 4).
These two Ivy foes battle for the Content Cup, last won by Brown in 2018. The Tigers had won the four previous races and lead the all-time series, 13-12. Princeton and Brown started the Content Cup battles in 1994.
The Heavies got a big test last weekend, taking on No. 1 Yale and Cornell. Yale secured a mark of 5:10 while Princeton nabbed a 5:14.7 with Cornell at 5:20.7. It was the Bulldogs' sixth straight Carnegie Cup. The 2V race was tight affair with Yale (5:17.7) pulling out a four-tenths of a second victory over Princeton (5:18.1). Yale also earned wins at the 3V by four seconds, the 4V by over two seconds and at 5V.
After the contest vs. Brown, the Tigers will honor its senior class, Larry Bao, Dan de Groot, Matt Doyle, Ralph Elsegood, Nathaniel Jiranek, Hunter Johnson, Alex Levine, Andrew Morgan, Jonny Naylor, Jim Palmer, Charles Watt, Luke Wiggins and Matt Wylie.
Princeton has the Eastern Sprints (May 19) and IRA Championships (May 31-Jun 2) to finish the 2019 season.
