Game 1 – Princeton 3, St. John's 1
The Tigers had a runner in scoring position in the first, third, and fifth innings, but couldn't push across a run. In the sixth, the road team loaded the bases with one out, but a double play finished the stanza.
St. John's first hit off of Ryan Smith didn't come until the third inning, but the hitter was later erased on a caught stealing. The Red Storm got a player to second base in the fourth frame, but Smith recorded his sixth strikeout to retire the side.

A one-out infield hit gave St. John's its first tally of the game in the eighth, but Smith recorded his ninth and 10th strikeouts to end the threat. The senior started the ninth with a flyout, but walked two, leading to a pitching change. Conor Nolan earned the save with the final two outs as the Tigers took the contest, 3-1.

The Red Storm got on the scoreboard with a solo four-bagger from Mike Antico in the third. He later added on to the home unit's lead with a two-run infield single in the next inning. One batter later, Carson Bartels brought in another tally to put St. John's in front, 4-0.
The Tigers' first run came on an RBI groundout from Haddad in the next half stanza. Princeton looked to get closer as Jake Boone reached third base with one out, but a lineout and flyout ended the at-bat. Conor Nolan doubled home Max West in the ninth, but the Tigers couldn't get any closer.
