Princeton Listed at No. 5 in Penn Monto/NFHCA National Preseason Coaches' Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers were selected as No. 5 in the 2019 Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Preseason Coaches' Poll, the organization announced today.

North Carolina, the 2018 National Champion, opens the poll at No. 1. Maryland, Duke and Connecticut round out the top five.

The Tigers play all of them.

Princeton's schedule, one of the best in the country, starts on Sept. 6 vs. UNC and follows with six consecutive ranked opponents. The Tigers face off against 11 teams ranked in the preseason poll including seven in the top 10. Last year's Ivy champion, Harvard, is No. 6. The Crimson won at Bedford in the regular season in 2018, but the Tigers got the ultimate revenge, defeating their rival in the NCAA Quarterfinals en route to their second Final Four in three years.
