No. 7 Princeton Climbs Atop ECAC, Tops Dartmouth 7-0
January 10, 2020 | Women's Ice Hockey
Freshman blue-liner Stef Wallace led the way with three points and her first two-goal game on the first two goals of her Tiger career. All five of Wallace's points on the season have come in the team's last six games.
With the win and other results around the league, Princeton climbed into a first-place tie with Harvard with 18 points and each team two points in front of Cornell. Princeton will head to Harvard for a 3 p.m. start Saturday.
The seven-goal win was Princeton's second in three years over Dartmouth, along with an 8-1 win at Baker Rink in October 2017, and it was Princeton's largest win in Hanover since an 8-0 win in February 1982. The shutout, coming with 18 saves from Rachel McQuigge, is Princeton's third in a row and continues the team's longest streak since four consecutive shutouts in January and February 2018. The Tigers outscored the pair of New Hampshire-based opponents during the streak, Saint Anselm and Dartmouth, a combined 22-0.Â
Wallace opened the scoring when she intercepted a puck that Dartmouth attempted to clear from the zone, firing it home from just inside the blue line less than seven minutes into the game.

Wallin then slid a pass across the ice to Wallace, who blasted it in for her second goal of the game.
