January 29, 2020 | Wrestling
The Ivy League season will begin Friday at Harvard for the 16th-ranked Princeton wrestling team, which will make it a two-match trip to New England with a visit to Brown Saturday.
Both matches will be available on ESPN+, with Friday's match set for 6 p.m. and Saturday's for 2 p.m.
The Tigers will have all five of their Ivy League matches between Friday's league opener and Feb. 15 when Princeton hosts Penn. Next Saturday, Princeton will wrestle Columbia on ESPNU in Dillon Gym a day before hosting No. 17 Cornell in Jadwin.
Princeton counts three top-five wrestlers in the nation by the Intermat rankings, with third-ranked Patrick Glory at 125, fourth-ranked Quincy Monday at 157, and third-ranked Patrick Brucki at 197. Harvard has 17th-ranked Philip Conigliaro at 165, and 10th-ranked heavyweight Yaraslau Slavikouski.
Princeton has won six in a row against the Crimson, with Harvard's last win coming in 2013 in Cambridge, and while the Tigers won the last meeting with Brown a year ago in Jadwin and have won five out of the last six, Brown won the last time the teams got together in Providence, in 2018.
