Men’s Track & Field to Compete at Crimson Elite

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's track & field team returns to competition Friday in Cambridge, Massachusetts at the Crimson Elite Meet.
Tiger Notes
Princeton most recently competed at the Columbia Challenge on Saturday, January 25. The meet featured several highlights including Simen Guttormsen's performance in the pole vault. He cleared a season-best 5.25 meters which earned him a third-place finish.
In the 3K, Conor Lundy finished first in the college section after finishing in a personal-best time of 8:09.05 seconds, topping his previous PR of 8:15.44 seconds achieved at the Villanova Invite in February 2017.
Sam Ellis placed second in the college section of the 800 meters after crossing the line in a personal-best time 1:50.82 seconds. His previous PR of 1:50.98 seconds was achieved at the Villanova Invite in February 2018.
At the Upstate Challenge the Tigers also delivered several highlights. Jeffrey Hollis won the high jump and cleared 2.16 meters, just short of his PR of 2.19 meters achieved at Navy vs. Princeton dual on January 11.
The Tigers also earned first and second-place finishes in the shot put. C.J. Licata finished first after a throw of 18.03 meters Kelton Chastulik's throw of 17.13 meters saw him finish second.
Justice Dixon won the 60 meters in 6.91, Michael Phillippy finished first in the 200 meters in 22.23 and Anderson Dimon won the 400 in a personal-best time of 49.63. Christian Brown's time of 8.03 in the 60 hurdles also saw him earn the victory.

The Tigers will compete against Harvard and Yale University on Saturday, February 8 in New Haven, Connecticut.
