Men’s Track & Field Competes at Crimson Elite

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Princeton University men's track & field team resumed its indoor season Friday at the Crimson Elite Meet on the campus of Harvard University.
"Good meet for us on a number of levels," said head coach Fred Samara. "We are looking forward to next Saturday at Yale and the HYP meet. We hope to put the full team together for the first time."
The meet saw several highlights for Princeton, including Michael Phillippy's PR of 48.43 in the 400 meters. He topped his previous best time of 48.87 and won the event.
Simang'aliso Ndhlovu finished second in the 60 meters in 6.82, showing that he is rounding into form nicely as the season progresses.
Simen Guttormsen won the pole vault after he cleared 5.25 meters while also having great, close attempts at 5.35 meters.
Austin Princewill and Dayo Abeeb were both outstanding in their first triple jump meet of the year. They finished first and second with jumps of 15.30 meters and 15.28 meters.
