Coming off a season with a program-record 26 wins, an ECAC tournament title and a second consecutive NCAA tournament berth, the Princeton women's hockey program has named its captains for the 2020-21 season.

Rising junior Sarah Fillier will be a captain for the second consecutive year. Fillier put up 22 goals and 35 assists for 57 points, matching her freshman-year numbers to stand more than halfway to the program's career records for assists (122) and points (218). Fillier's sophomore season saw her become Princeton's first two-time All-America, earning AHCA second-team honors, while earning first-team All-Ivy League, first-team All-ECAC, second-team All-USCHO, finish as one of three finalists for each of the ECAC Best Forward and Player of the Year honors, and as a top-10 finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award for the second straight year.

Rising senior Sharon Frankel had her best season stat-wise as a junior, scoring nine goals and adding 15 assists for 24 points, all career-best totals. Frankel had a pair of two-goal games on the 2019-20 season, at Union on Nov. 15 and against St. Lawrence three games later on Nov. 23. The St. Lawrence game saw her add an assist for a season-high three points, and only a few weeks later, Frankel began a five-game point-scoring streak that saw her score eight total points against No. 5 Ohio State, Saint Anselm (two games), at Dartmouth and at No. 9 Harvard.

Fellow rising senior Shannon Griffin also had her best statistical season of her career as a junior, scoring six goals with six assists for a 12-point season, all high totals as a Tiger. Griffin had a two-goal, three-point game against Saint Anselm on Jan. 4 and scored a goal in the ECAC semifinal against No. 7 Clarkson to help Princeton win 5-1. She had an assist the next day against No. 1 Cornell as the Tigers won the ECAC tournament title for the first time in program history.
