Yeager Named Ivy Offensive Player Of The Week Again
October 11, 2021 | Field Hockey
Beth Yeager's remarkable freshman field hockey season has added another impressive achievement.
Â
Yeager was named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week after her four-goal performance in Princeton's 6-0 win over Dartmouth Saturday in Hanover. This is the second time this season that Yeager has been honored with the award.
Â
The four goals against Dartmouth tied Yeager for the second-best total in program history. It also equals the record for the most goals scored in a game by a Princeton freshman, something done before only by Katie Reinprecht back in 2008.
Â
Yeager leads the Ivy League in goals (14) and points (34). She's also third in Division I in both stats, and she is the only freshman in Division I in the top 10 nationally in either.
Â
Princeton hosts Cornell Friday at 4 on ESPNU and then takes on Penn State at home Sunday at noon.
