PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's basketball team returns to Jadwin Gymnasium on Wednesday, November 17, to host Marist College.

The Tigers are coming off an impressive showing at the inaugural Asheville Championship, first knocking off the University of South Carolina 66-62 on Friday, November 12, in the semifinal before falling just short against the University of Minnesota, 87-80, in a double overtime thriller in the final. Princeton was the only team to have more than one player named to the All-Tournament Team, as senior Jaelin Llewellyn and junior Tosan Evbuoman received the honor. Llewellyn averaged 17.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, while Evbuomwan averaged 14.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, while also handing out 11 assists.

Through Three Games
Llewellyn currently leads Princeton in scoring with 12.3 points per game, while Wright's 8.0 rebounds per game are a team-high. Evbuomwan leads the Tigers in assists with 13, while Wright and senior Drew Friberg tie for the team-high in steals with five.

Ivy League Weekly Honors
The Ivy League announced its first weekly honors of the 2021-22 men's basketball season Monday, and Llewellyn was named Ivy League Player of the Week.
 A Second Team All-Ivy League selection in 2019-20, this is the second Ivy Player of the Week honor for Llewellyn has received, as he also earned the award on Monday, January 6, 2020.

Senior Ethan Wright recorded a double-double with 14 points, along with a game and career-high 18 rebounds. He topped his previous career-best of 11, from the Tigers' game at Yale on Saturday, Decemer 29, 2020, and his 18 rebounds were the most by a Princeton player since Richmond Aririguzoh '20 pulled down 18 against Arizona State University on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. Wright also tied Aririguzoh '20 for the most rebounds by a Princeton player since Mason Rocca '00 against Georgetown University on Wednesday, March 10, 1999. No Princeton player has had more than 18 rebounds since Bob Roma '79 had 19 rebounds against Villanova University on Tuesday, December 12, 1978.

Evbuomwan re-set his career-high in points in both games at the Asheville Championship. His 12 points against South Carolina topped his previous career-best of 11 from Princeton's game against Yale on Friday, February 14, 2019. Against Minnesota, he then re-set his career-high with 16 points and added a career-high eight made field goals, topping his previous career-high of five from the same Yale contest in 2019. Also, against Minnesota, Evbuomwan handed out a career-best seven assists, besting his previous career-high of four from the Tigers game against South Carolina the night before.

The Tigers lead the all-time series with the Red Foxes, 2-0. The most recent matchup between the two teams was a 68-57 Princeton victory that took place on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, inside Jadwin Gymnasium.
