Men's Basketball Outlasts FDU, 89-79

PRINCETON, N.J. – Led by career-highs by senior Ethan Wright and juniors Tosan Evbuomwan and Ryan Langborg, the Princeton University men's basketball team outlasted Fairleigh Dickinson University 89-79, Sunday afternoon inside Jadwin Gymnasium.
Wright had career-highs across the board offensively as led the way with a career-high 29 points on 10-for-17 shooting from the field and 7-for-12 shooting from three. His 10 made field goals and seven made three-pointers were also career-bests. Wright's 10 rebounds were also a game-high, and he earned his third double-double of the season.
Evbuomwan's career-high 19 points came on 6-for-9 shooting from the field and 7-for-12 shooting from the free throw line; his seven made free throws were a career-high. Evbuomwan also pulled down eight rebounds and handed out a game-high five assists.
Langborg finished with a career-high 18 points, going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line and also pulling down six rebounds. Senior Jaelin Llewellyn was the fourth Tiger in double figures, going 7-for-13 from the field to finish with 15 points and tying for game-high in assists with five. Sophomore Matt Allocco also scored a career-best six points on 2-for-3 shooting.
As a team, the Tigers shot 51.6% from the field, going 32-for-62. Princeton also out-rebounded the Knights, 37-26.
Llewellyn found a streaking Langborg for a layup with 16:27 on the clock, giving Princeton a 4-2 advantage. Five-straight points from Llewellyn in the form of a layup and a three-pointer gave the Tigers a 9-4 lead with 14:12 remaining in the half.
Langborg drained a pair of free throws at 2:40, and Princeton took a 38-36 lead into halftime.
FDU knotted the score at 40-40 with 18:37 remaining, but a pair of Wright free throws along with an Evbuomwan layup saw Princeton take a 44-40 lead with 17:39 on the clock.
Wright then erupted offensively, starting with a layup with 14:44 left to play, he scored 13 points in just 3:38. Wright tied his career-high and scored his 24th point on a three-pointer at 11:57, giving the Tigers a 58-51 advantage.
The Tigers held off the Knights for the remainder of the half, ending the game winners with a final score of 89-79.

Wright cut backdoor then finished with the reverse, setting a new career-high and giving the Tigers a 60-53 lead with 11:06 left to play.
