Men's Swimming & Diving Defeats Brown and Dartmouth in Season Opener

Providence R.I. – The Princeton University men's swimming and diving team began the 2021-22 season with a splash, defeating host Brown 203-97 and fellow Ivy League rival Dartmouth 237-59.
Princeton dominated this meet from start to finish, with star swimmers Raunak Khosla, Dylan Porges, and Brian Lou earning first place finishes in each individual race they competed in. The class of 2025 showed their prowess as well, highlighted by Tyler Hong and the Callanan brothers.
The Tiger relay teams were on their game, as Princeton went one-two in the 200-medley relay and one-three in the 400 free relay.
The team of Tyler Hong, Brian Lou, Nicholas Lim, and Max Walther (1:30.18) just touched out the team of Brett Feyerick, Josh Brown, Max Kreidl, and Max Hunger (1:30.41) in the first relay.
In the second relay, the team of Nicholas Lim, Josh Brown, Tyler Hong, Max Walther finished first, with a time of 2:59.65, while the team of Jonathan Pollock, Billy Swartwout, Dylan Porges, and Max Hunger (3:05.28) finished third.
In the 100 breast, Brian Lou (55.29) just touched out teammate Joshua Brown (55.31). Cameron Matthews (58.56) also competed.
Brian Lou (20.36) also touched first in the 50 free, with teammates Nathan Yates (21.25) and Finn Dowdall (21.70) finishing fifth and eighth respectively. Mike Scornavacca (21.93) also competed.
Lou's third first place finish came in the 200 breast, with a time of 2:01.82. Meanwhile, Hunter Kim (2:05.69) came in fourth while Cameron Matthews (2:09.95) came in seventh.
Freshman Tyler Hong won the 100 back, with a time of 49.59. Also swimming in the 100 back was fellow freshman Brett Feyerick, who went 50.54, good enough for fourth place. Collin Reilly (54.56) also competed.
Hong claimed victory in the 200 back as well, going 1:47.76. Meanwhile, Brett Feyerick earned third (1:49.68) and Billy Swartwout (1:53.54) came in fifth.
In the 1000 free, Dylan Porges touched first with a time of 9:16.95. Peyton Werner was the next Tiger to finish, going 9:38.82, with teammate Chris Aubin (9:47.01) right behind him for a five-six finish.
Porges won the 500 free as well, going 4:27.71. Peyton Werner (4:39.39) earned a fifth-place finish, with Chris Aubin (4:42.12) coming in eight. Xander Gardner (4:43.53) and Zev Schuman (5:02.17) also competed.
Princeton went one-two-three in the 200 butterfly, with Raunak Khosla (1:47.71) finishing first, followed by Max Kreidl (1:48.36) and Hunter Kim (1:50.48). Zev Schuman (2:02.61) also competed.
Khosla earned a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly as well, with a time of 49.06. Max Kreidl (49.57) followed with a third-place finish, with Nicholas Lim (49.95) right behind him in fourth Mike Scornavacca (52.76) and Nathan Yates (50.73) also competed.
In the 100 free, it was Josh Brown (44.74) who finished first. Max Walther (45.82) finished in fifth, with Jonathan Pollock (46.06) right behind him in sixth. Max Hunger (48.01) and Finn Dowdall (47.99) also competed.
Nicholas Lim (1:38.91) earned a second-place finish for the Tigers in the 200 free, while Max Walther (1:40.35) finished fifth. Max Hunger (1:41.78) and Billy Swartwout (1:43.34) also competed.
Finally, the 200 IM was won by Hunter Kim (1:50.63). Kreidl (1:53.14) followed in third, with Peyton Werner (1:55.49) finishing seventh.
In the 1-meter dive, senior and team captain Colten Young earned first place with 338.25 points. Brothers Taso (318.85) and George Callanan (316.55) finished second and third respectively. Griffin Brooks (289.55) also competed.
In the 3-meter dive, it was Taso Callanan who finished in first with 385.20 points. Colten Young (372.60) took second, followed by Griffin Brooks (361.05) in third. George Callanan (358.65) also competed.
Next up for the Tigers is a home meet versus Columbia on November 12th. The meet is set for 5:00 P.M.

Nicholas Lim (1:38.91) earned a second-place finish for the Tigers in the 200 free, while Max Walther (1:40.35) finished fifth. Max Hunger (1:41.78) and Billy Swartwout (1:43.34) also competed.
Finally, the 200 IM was won by Hunter Kim (1:50.63). Kreidl (1:53.14) followed in third, with Peyton Werner (1:55.49) finishing seventh.
