Women's Squash Team Opens Ivy Play with Sweep of Dartmouth

A day before a match that brings two of the nation's top three teams on the same courts, the third-ranked Princeton women's squash team turned in a 9-0 sweep of No. 12 Dartmouth to open Ivy League play on Saturday in Jadwin Gym.
Princeton will host No. 1 Harvard on Sunday at noon. Results can be followed here, live video will be available here, and the match program is here. Per Princeton University attendance policy during the month of January, attendance will be restricted to students, faculty and staff of the University who are fully compliant with the University's COVID-19 protocols.
Saturday's win extended Princeton's streak in the series to 21 matches since Dartmouth's last win over Princeton in 2003.
Six of the nine matches against the Big Green were won in sweeps, with Raneem El Torky, Caroline Spahr, Emme Leonard and Katherine Glaser, on courts three through six, all winning 3-0. Katherine Sapinski and Molly Chadwick, on courts eight and nine, won in sweeps as well.
Andrea Toth, making her court-one debut, won in four games, as did Olivia Robinson on court seven, with each winning the first game and answering a Big Green win in one of the middle frames. On court two, Elle Ruggiero got out to a 2-0 lead and turned aside a comeback bid from Jesse Brownell, who won twice to force a fifth game.
