Princeton Comes Up Just Short in Top-Three Battle with Harvard

Two of the top three teams in the nation met in Jadwin Gym on Sunday for a match that ended up a 5-4 finish and with two contests that went the distance at five games.
No. 1 Harvard picked up that 5-4 win over the third-ranked Princeton squash team, getting wins at each of the top five spots while Princeton won on courts six through nine.
Katherine Glaser, Olivia Robinson, Katherine Sapinski and Molly Chadwick had Princeton's wins, with Glaser, Robinson and Sapinski winning in three and Chadwick's going five games, as Chadwick rallied from being down 2-1 by winning the final two games 14-12 and 11-6.
Harvard won in three games on courts one, two, three and five, with Caroline Spahr forcing the match at four to go the distance after dropping the first game. Opponent Habeeba Eldefrawy won the final two games 11-7 and 11-4 to deliver the point for Harvard.
Princeton will head up to Connecticut for a pair of matches next weekend, first continuing Ivy League play at No. 4 Yale on Saturday before taking on No. 2 Trinity on Sunday.
