Men’s Swimming and Diving Earns Decisive Win Over Navy

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's swimming and diving team dominated the Navy Midshipmen, winning the meet by a score of 208-92. Tiger divers were the star of the show, as senior Colten Young set a new school record in the 3-meter dive with a score of 406.50.
Two other divers had top-10 school performances in the 3-meter dive; George Callanan scored a 367.65, moving him into fourth all-time, while Griffin Brooks scored a 355.20, good enough for sixth all-time.
Brooks and Callanan set top-10 school records in the 1-meter dive as well; Brooks is fifth all-time after scoring a 336.83, while George earned a 313.50, landing him ninth all-time in school history.
The Tigers took care of business in the freestyle events, finishing first in every single one. Brian Lou (20.58) touched first in the 50 free, with Max Walther (20.69) finishing second. Walther (45.62) took first in the 100 free, followed by Josh Brown (45.74) in third. Walther continued his dominance, earning another first-place finish in the 200 free with a time of 1:38.94.
Dylan Porges saw his success continue, placing first in both the 500 (4:30.70) and 1000 free (9:18.04). Meanwhile, Peyton Werner (4:35.29) touched third in the 500, while Hunter Kim (9:22.35) did the same in the 1000.
Tyler Hong swept the 100 (48.67) and 200 back (1:46.53), earning a first-place finish in each event. Brett Feyerick competed in both events as well, finishing third in the 100 (50.28) and third in the 200 (1:51.70).
Raunak Khosla also made a big impact, touching first in the 200 breaststroke (2:00.33), 200 butterfly (1:47.33), and 400 IM (3:56.08). Hunter Kim finished the 400 IM in second (3:57.38), while Max Kreidl finished the 200 fly in third (1:48.13).
Closing out the rest of the individual events, Josh Brown (55.65) and Brian Lou (55.74) finished one-two in the 100 breast, while Tyler Hong (48.94) took second in the 100 fly.
The relay events were similarly dominated by Princeton. The quartet of Brett Feyerick, Josh Brown, Nicholas Lim and Brian Lou (1:29.57) touched first in the 200 medley relay, while the foursome of Josh Brown, Nicholas Lim, Brett Feyerick and Max Walther secured first place in the 400 free relay. The second relay team consisting of Jonathan Pollock, Jonah Harm, Garrett McGovern and Caleb Mauldin, finished third with a time of 3:03.76.
Next up: The Tigers will travel to New Haven, Connecticut for HYPs from January 28th to January 29th.
