Yeager Again Named Ivy Offensive Player Of The Week

Beth Yeager kept alive a nice Princeton field hockey streak this past week.

Yeager, the Princeton sophomore who was a first-team All-American a year ago, was named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week after having two goals and two assists in a 6-1 win over Monmouth and then scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win over Dartmouth.

Yeager's selection marked the third straight week that a Princeton player has earned the award, after Grace Schulze won last week and Yeager won the week before. Yeager, who leads the Ivy League in points per game and is second in goals per game, has now been the Ivy Offensive Player of the Year four times in her career.

Dartmouth goalie Hatley Post, whose 19 saves against Princeton were the most by a player in a Division I game this year, was the league's Defensive Player of the Week.

Princeton will be at Cornell this coming Saturday at 11 am. The Tigers and Harvard are the lone Ivy unbeatens, at 3-0.
