Tigers Take Non-League Finale Over Lehigh, 2-0
October 18, 2022 | Women's Soccer
The win was Princeton's 11th in a row against Patriot League programs and 25th unbeaten game in a row against schools from the conference. Against Lehigh, the win ran Princeton's all-time record to 24-0-1 and was the Tigers' 14th straight win over the Mountain Hawks, running Princeton's shutout streak in the series to 393:15.
Princeton outshot the Mountain Hawks 23-7 overall and 10-2 on goal, with McCamey making both saves during her time in goal in the first half. Gantman played the second half and completed the shutout, Princeton's sixth of the season and fourth in the last five games.Â
Wozniak's goal came after Princeton fended off a Lehigh free kick deep in its own end, with Grace Sherman clearing the ball upfield for Wozniak, who dished it back to Sherman to set up the attack in Princeton's offensive half. Sherman sent a ball ahead to Lily Bryant, who one-touched a pass to Wozniak from just outside the 18-yard box. Wozniak needed just one touch as well, sending a shot across the six-yard box to get Princeton on the board with just more than 16 minutes gone in the game.

With seven-plus minutes to go in the half, Pietra Tordin nearly had what would have been her team-best eighth goal of the season. After taking a pass across the 18 from Wozniak and seeing a defender slip while trying to poke the pass away, Tordin had a one-on-one with Lehigh keeper Abby Trainor, who dove as Tordin's shot hit the right post. Grace Porter jumped on the rebound, firing it toward goal where a Lehigh defender was unable to block the shot on the goal line. The goal was the first of the sophomore Porter's career.
