Rowing Teams Finish Fall Season With Princeton Chase

PRINCETON – The Shea Rowing Center was busy as it hosted the Princeton Chase on Sunday afternoon.
Men's Heavyweights
In the first varsity eight race of the day, Syracuse took the top time (12:59.82) in front of Princeton's A boat (13:03.29). The Tigers had two more boats in the top ten with B (13:27.80) and C (13:49.25) finishing fourth and seventh, respectively, among 41 entries.
The Tigers' 2x rowed a 15:30.25 while the 2- crossed the line at 16:14.47.
Princeton's top three 4+ boats were in the top five with B (14:09.22), A (14:21.60) and C (14:43.09) finishing second, third and fifth among 32 who raced.
Men's Lightweights
The Tigers' varsity eight won its first event by almost eight seconds (13:31.67) over Navy (13:39.27) and followed with the top lightweight time in the second session (13:51.60).
Princeton's 4x crossed the finish line at 13:58.21, topping Cornell (14:32.41), Colgate and Georgetown. The Tigers' 4- rowed a 14:44.61.
Women's Open Crew
The Tigers' varsity eight collected fourth place (15:26.34), trailing Penn's two boats and Radcliffe among 59 boats in the field. Princeton's C boat was ninth (16:00.34).
Princeton's 4+ earned a 16:27.78, best among 30 entries. Their B boat was fifth (16:55.57).,
Women's Lightweight
Princeton's varsity eight (15:54.68) flipped the Head of Charles result and took down Radcliffe (15:59.26).
The Tigers 2x secured a 17:54.26 over 26 seconds in front of second place.
Their 4+ was second among lightweight boats (17:05.24), only trailing Radcliffe (16:57.44).
