
Four Double-Digit Scorers Power Men's Basketball Past Lafayette, 69-58

PRINCETON, N.J. – Powered by four double-digit scorers and 12-0 run in the second half, the Princeton University men's basketball team earned its seventh-straight win Tuesday night inside Jadwin Gymnasium, taking down Lafayette 69-58.
Senior Ryan Langborg led the way, tying his career-high with a game-high 19 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 shooting from the free throw line, along with a game-high five assists, also tying his career-high. Senior Keeshawn Kellman added 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting and four rebounds while senior Tosan Evbuomwan finished with12 points, five rebounds and three assists. Junior Matt Allocco had 10 points on 3-for-6 shooting, and freshman Caden Pierce pulled down a game-high eight rebounds.
As a team, the Tigers out-rebounded the Leopards 37-28. It marked the eighth time in nine games the Tigers won the rebounding battle over their opponents this season.
The Tigers got off to a fast start, with back-to-back three-pointers by Langborg and Allocco giving Princeton a 10-2 advantage with 15:39 on the clock. With 12:06 left in the half a three-point play by Allocco followed by a junior Zach Martini three-pointer at 11:41 saw the Tigers take an 18-7 lead.
Princeton maintained its 11-point lead after a layup by Evbuomwan with 8:26 remaining in the half, but the Leopards use a 7-0 run to make it a four-point game, 24-20, with 5:19 on the clock. Soon after, at 5:19, Lafayette narrowed it to three points, 26-23, but five-straight points by Langborg helped Princeton extend it back out to 31-23, with 2:26 remaining in the half. The Tigers then took a 31-29 advantage into halftime.
With 17:34 remaining, a layup by Evbuomwan led off a 6-0 run that saw Princeton take a 37-30 lead at 16:27. The Leopards would battle back, taking a 40-39 lead with 12:23 on the clock, but a three-point play by Kellman sparked a 12-0 run that saw Princeton surge ahead, 51-40, following a powerful two-handed dunk by sophomore Deven Austin with 8:52 on the clock.
Shortly after, with 5:02 remaining, an Evbuomwan free throw led off a 5-0 run that put Princeton ahead 56-42 at 6:31. The Tigers extended their lead to 16 with 2:55 on the clock after a layup by freshman Xaivian Lee, and the Tigers held on for the 69-58 victory, securing their seventh-straight win.
