Yale Takes Baker Finale; Tigers Set for Harvard in ECACH Tournament

Both No. 6 Yale and Princeton entered Saturday's final day of the ECAC Hockey regular season awaiting their ECAC Hockey tournament opponent, and Yale still had the tournament's top seed to play for.
The Bulldogs got a goal in each period on the way to a 3-0 win, but Harvard won its game up at Union as the Crimson secured the top seed in the league's postseason to begin next weekend. Princeton, which knew it would be in the eighth spot regardless of Saturday's outcome, will head to Harvard for the best-of-three series next weekend.
Charlotte Welch, Claire Dalton and Elle Hartje had the goals for Yale.
Saturday's game was the Baker Rink finale for Princeton's four seniors, including Sharon Frankel, Shannon Griffin, Rachel McQuigge and Sarah Verbeek.Â
Princeton's games against Harvard will start at 6 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday as well as Sunday if necessary.
