Men’s Tennis Opens Play at the Blue Gray Classic

MONTGOMERY, ALA. – The Princeton University men's tennis team will compete at the Blue Gray Classic from February 25th – February 26th at the Lagoon Park Tennis Complex. The No. 3 seeded Tigers will battle the No. 6 seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers on Friday at 9:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. CT. Should the Tigers advance, they will play the winner of No. 2 seeded Auburn / No. 7 seeded VCU.
The Tigers are 6-4 on the year, most recently defeating Cornell 4-2 to place third at the ECAC Tennis Championships. Princeton won two out of three doubles matches, while Ryan Seggerman Will Peters Filippos Astreinidis each earned singles victories.
Scouting Nebraska
The Cornhuskers are 3-5 this season, and have lost their last two matches. During the 2020-2021 campaign, Nebraska went 2-16.
The Tigers are 6-4 on the year, most recently defeating Cornell 4-2 to place third at the ECAC Tennis Championships. Princeton won two out of three doubles matches, while Ryan Seggerman Will Peters Filippos Astreinidis each earned singles victories.
