Men's Lightweight Rowing Retains Fosburgh Cup Over Georgetown

ANNAPOLIS - Princeton opened its 2022 men's lightweight rowing season wth a split of races in the DMV, rallying to defeat Georgetown after a close defeat to Navy on the Severn.

In the afternoon on the Potomac, the Tigers defeated the Hoyas in all three races, including a thrilling 0.4-second win in the 1V to retain the Fosburgh Cup. The Tigers have now won five Fosburgh Cups in a row.

It was a spirited battle with Navy, ending with the Midshipmen pulling away for a 1.4-second win to reclaim the Murtaugh Cup over the Tigers.

Navy won all three races, including just its third in the Murtaugh Cup all-time.
