National Poll
For the first time since 2019, the Class of 1999 Cup is up for grabs as No. 1 Princeton hosts No. 5 Radcliffe on Saturday. Racing begins on Lake Carnegie at 9:00 a.m. Also rowing on Sunday will be No. 4 Georgetown.
The Tigers will be on Lake Carnegie for the first time in Cup racing since April 20, 2019 when the Tigers bested the Hoyas by 2.2 seconds. Georgetown has become bit of a familiar opponent for the Tigers, Princeton's 2022 Spring debut was last weekend on the Potomac as the Tigers retained the Class of 2006 Cup with a 13.1-second win over the Hoyas.

"There's always a heightened energy when we line up opposite an Ivy team, so there's tremendous excitement at the boathouse this week," said head coach Paul Rassam. "We just competed with Georgetown last weekend, so there's no doubt some familiarity there. That isn't the case with Radcliffe, we haven't rowed against them since 2019 so I am sure there will be a bit of a feeling out process. Add in the fact that we're back on home water at Lake Carnegie and this is shaping up to be a thrilling weekend for our crew."
Princeton is 15-6 all-time in dual races against Radcliffe dating back to the start of the series in 1998. The two crews have officially competed for the Class of 1999 Cup since the 2006 season, and Princeton is 8-5 in those races -- with a 4-3 record on home water. The series has been even over the past four races, with Radcliffe winning twice in 2016 and 2017 and the Tigers taking the next two in 2018 and 2019 before COVID-19 halted the series in 2020 and 2021.
