No. 1 Women's Lightweight Rowing Defeats No. 3 Stanford In California

No. 1 Princeton secured a sweep at No. 3 Stanford, claiming all three races contested on Redwood Creek.

The Tigers rowed their way to an 8.8-second win in the V8 to claim the Class of 2015 Cup, finishing first in 7:28.77. The other two wins were a bit closer, the V4 picking up a 1.2-second win and the V2 winning by by open water over the Cardinal.

"This was a great step for all our boats towards our goals at Eastern Sprints, Dad Vails, and ultimately the IRAs," said head coach Paul Rassam. "We are very motivated to keep improving into the Championship season."

Princeton is now 3-0 this spring, with wins over the crews ranked No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 in the most recent IRA Coaches Poll.
