No. 1 Women's Lightweight Rowing Team Heads To Eastern Sprints Sunday

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 1 Princeton women's lightweight team heads back to the Eastern Sprints this Sunday on Lake Quinsigamond.

The Tigers have won the Class of 2006 Cup over Georgetown by 13.1 seconds and the Class of 1999 Cup over Radcliffe by 4.3 seconds. Perhaps the signature moment of the season was an impressive 8.8 second win over No. 3 Stanford on the road.

Head coach Paul Rassam's squad last appearance at the Eastern Sprints was in 2019 and it was a memorable event. The Tigers earned its first gold at Easterns in eight years, taking home the title by 1.5 seconds over Boston University.

The action for Princeton gets underway Sunday afternoon with the 2X B race at 12:10. The A race is at 12:20. The 4+ B event is at 12:30 with the A battle going off at 12:40. The V8 competition is at 12:55.
