Women’s Track and Field Excels on Day Two of the Larry Ellis Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's track and field team had another successful outing on day two of the Larry Ellis Invitational, highlighted by Siniru Iheoma's performance in the throws.
Iheoma secured second place in the shot put with a toss of 15.58 meters, landing her second all-time in school history. Also competing in the event was Jalah Morris (13.44 m), who placed ninth.
In the discus, Siniru Iheoma earned first place with a throw of 50.12 meters, a personal best for the freshman. Meanwhile, Luisa Chantler Edmond (46.28 m) took fourth and Jalah Morris (41.20 m) finished 16th.
In the 200 meters, Lily Parris (25.68) finished 20th and Samantha Anderson (26.00) took 25th.
Three Tigers placed in the top-20 in the 400 meters, including India Ingemi (56.26) in eighth, Paola Rodriguez (56.89) in 14th and Lauren Harris (56.96) in 16th.
Mena Scatchard and India Weir went one-two in the 800 meters, with times of 2:11.75 and 2:12.66 respectively. Meanwhile, Maggie Liebich (2:18.20) placed 16th.
In the 1500 meters, Lexi Allen (4:38.04) and Lucca Fulkerson (4:41.18) finished third and fourth.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Lily Parris finished fourth with a time of 14.41.
Tia Rozario recorded a leap of 12.40 meters in the triple jump, good for first place in the event.
In the pole vault, Liliana Cohen and Hanne Borstlap tied for fourth with a distance of 3.66 meters.
Up next: The Tigers will travel to Charlottesville, Virginia for the Virginia Challenge from April 22 – April 23.
