Women’s Track and Field Sets Two Top-10 School Records on Day One of the Virginia Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – It was business as usual for the Princeton University women's track and field team, delivering top-10 school records in both the 100 and 1500 meters.
Brianna Mponzi finished eighth in the 100 meters with a time 11.84, moving her into fifth all-time in school history.
Caroline Timm placed 11th in the 1500-meter invite with a time of 4:17.52, good enough for third all-time in school history.
Three Tigers placed in the 400 meters, including Nia Mosby (56.02) in 27th, Lauren Harris (56.62) in 35th and India Ingemi (56.69) in 38th.
In the 1500 meters, Mari Noble (4:29.54) was 33rd.
Lucca Fulkerson took first place in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:36.89, while Lexi Allen (10:46.27) placed fourth.
In the 5000 meters, India Weir (16:31.60) took 14th while Abby Loveys (16:37.26) was 19th.
In the javelin throw, Kate Joyce (49.52 m) placed fourth and Rylie Pease (44.67 m) finished eighth.
Liliana Cohen placed fifth in the pole vault with a leap of 3.81 meters, while Hanne Borstlap (3.66 m) finished eighth.
Siniru Iheoma placed seventh in the discus invite with a toss of 47.04 meters.
In the long jump, Casey Burton (5.68 m) finished 21st.
In the hammer throw on Thursday night, Annika Kelly earned fourth place with a distance of 60.00 meters.
