Baseball Meets Rutgers in Midweek Matchup

Princeton, N.J. — Princeton prepares to face its neighbor, Rutgers, in a midweek meeting on Wednesday at 3 p.m. The game, which was originally scheduled to be played at the Tigers' Clarke Field, will now be hosted by Rutgers and played at the Scarlet Knights' Bainton Field in Piscataway, N.J.
Princeton enters the matchup at 4-24 after a challenging series against Dartmouth last weekend.
Brendan Cumming continues to lead Princeton in hitting with a .375 average and 48 hits this season. Just behind him is Nadir Lewis, who is batting .362 and leads the team with 30 RBI.
Rutgers heads into the matchup at a formidable 31-6 following a three-game sweep of Indiana on the weekend. The Scarlet Knights are currently ranked No. 8 by Collegiate Baseball, No. 21 by Perfect Game, and No. 26 in the NCAA Coaches Poll. Wednesday's game will mark the 155th meeting between Rutgers and Princeton. The Scarlet Knights hold a slim, 77-74-3 all-time series record against the Tigers.
