Princeton Elite Invitational Up Next for No. 16 Men’s Track & Field

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's track and field team will participate in the Princeton Elite Invitational on Saturday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m. inside Weaver Stadium.
Princeton won their 21st Ivy League Outdoor Championship this past weekend, securing their fourth straight title and completing the Heps triple crown for the 10th time in school history. The Tigers won 12 of 22 events and set four meet records, four school records and one Ivy League record.
The Tigers also received two major awards, as Fred Samara was named Ivy League Coach of the Year and Daniel Duncan was nominated as the Most Outstanding Track Performer of the meet. Additionally, 17 members of the men's track and field team received All-Ivy League honors.
Princeton has four top-10 marks in the nation, including Sondre Guttormsen (5.75 m) and Simen Guttormsen (5.65 m) ranking second and fourth in the pole vault, Ed Trippas (8:30.25) ranking third in the 3000-meter steeplechase and Robbie Otal (62.77 m) ranking seventh in the discus.
Four more from the orange and black rank in the top-20 in the nation. Chandler Ault (72.47 m) ranks 12th in the javelin, C.J. Licata (19.41 m) ranks 17th in the shot put, Aviram Shwarzbard (7.85 m) ranks 18th in the long jump and Jeffrey Hollis (2.17 m) ranks 19th in the high jump.
