LSU Gets Past Princeton

A goal in each half helped LSU defeat Princeton 2-0 Thursday night at Sherrerd Field.
Princeton doubled up LSU on overall shots, 14-7, and led in shots on goal, 5-3, but LSU got on the board first with an Angelina Thoreson goal in the 14th minute. It stayed 1-0 through the break until Wasila Diwura-Soale headed home a Brenna McPartlan throw-in in the 66th minute to double the lead.
Princeton will complete the home weekend on Sunday, hosting George Mason at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
