Women's Squash Opens Ivy League Play with a Win Over Columbia

New York, N.Y. - No. 4 Princeton women's squash opened up 2023 play with a victory In New York, defeating the Columbia Lions 6-3.
The team's first Ivy League matchup helped to improve the Tigers' record to 2-0 for the season. Several, Princeton sweeps contributed to the Tigers' win on Friday afternoon.
Charlotte Bell at the No. 5 position, Olivia Robinson at the No. 7 position, and Katherine Glaser at the No. 8 position all defeated their opponents 3-0.
In an exciting back-and-forth contest at the No. 9 position, Abigail Schuster came out on top to take the match 3-2.
The Lions managed to score just, three points against the Tigers, but Princeton came out on top to take the match 6-3.
Princeton's win streak against Columbia has now been extended to 13 matches since the first meeting between the two teams in the 2010-11 season.

The Tigers will return to play on Sunday for another Ivy League match against the Cornell, Big Red at home in Jadwin Gymnasium at noon.
