PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's basketball team returns to Jadwin Gymnasium on Saturday, January 21, at 2 p.m. when it hosts Dartmouth.
Last Time Out
Powered by four double digit scorers, the Princeton University men's basketball team earned a 72-60 victory over the University of Pennsylvania, Monday night inside the Palestra. The win marked the seventh-straight for the Tigers over the Quakers.

Senior Tosan Evbuomwan finished with a game and season-high 26 points on 9-for-13 shooting from the field, along with seven rebounds and a game-high three assists. Senior Ryan Langborg finished with 13 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the field, while freshman Caden Pierce added 12 points on 4-for-8 shooting along with a game-high 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Junior Matt Allocco also finished with 10 points for the Tigers.

As a team, Princeton controlled the boards and held a 44-36 rebounding advantage. Defensively, the Tigers limited Penn to an 0-for-12 night from behind the three-point line.

Princeton's victory over Cornell marked 100 regular-season Ivy League wins for Franklin C. Cappon-Edward C. Green '40 Head Coach Mitch Henderson. He became the eighth Ivy League men's basketball coach to reach the milestone, and the second from Princeton as Pete Carril sits atop the list with 310 regular-season conference wins.

In the first half of Princeton's game against Iona on Tuesday, December 13, Â Evbuomwan found Caden Pierce for the 200th assist of his career, and ended the game with 206 total in his career. Evbuomwan's 142 assists in the 2021-22 season were No. 2 all-time at Princeton, trailing only William F. Ryan's 161 assists in the 1983-84 season.

The 2022 Ivy League Player of the Year
Evbuomwan has had a strong start to the 2022-23 season, ranking first on the team and sixth in the Ivy League in scoring with 13.2 points on 52.3% shooting. He also leads the team in rebounding and ranks fifth in the conference with 6.2 per game, leads the Ivy League in assists with 4.4 and is tied for third on the team in steals with 12. Evbuomwan's assist/turnover ratio of 1.4 also ranks fifth in the conference.

With 126 made three-pointers in his career, Langborg ranks No. 15 all-time in school history for made three-pointers. This was accomplished in a shortened 2019-20 season and no 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In total, 22 Tigers have exceeded 100 made three-pointers in their career. Langborg is also averaging 12.4 points per game, which ranks second on the team and 10th in the Ivy League, and his 2.2 three-pointers per game rank fourth in the conference. Additionally, Langborg's 66 made three-pointers in the 2021-22 rank No. 13 all-time at Princeton for most made three-pointers in a season.

A Presence Inside
Kellman has provided the Tigers with a reliable presence inside in 2022-23, averaging 8.7 points (No. 4 on the team) on 62.9% shooting (No. 1 in the Ivy League) along with 4.8 rebounds. He has scored in double digits in eight games, and Kellman's 15 blocked shots rank seventh in the Ivy League.

Allocco has taken his game to another level this season, and ranks third on the team in scoring with 10.6 points on 49.0% shooting from the field and 41.7% shooting from three, which ranks No. 3 in the Ivy League. He also ranks third on the team in rebounding with 5.1, second in assists with 41 and second in steals with 13.

Freshman Caden Pierce was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Monday, January 9. He averaged 9.0 points and a team-high 10.5 rebounds per game in the Tigers' wins over Cornell and Columbia.

In Princeton's victory over the Big Red, Pierce recorded a double-double with a career-high 12 points on 5-for-9 shooting, a game and career-high 13 rebounds and one assist. Pierce's five made goals and his 11 defensive rebounds were also career-highs, while his 13 rebounds tied the Tigers' single-game high in 2022-23. Against Columbia, he finished with a game-high eight rebounds, one block, and one steal.

A superb defensive performance along with a season-best rebounding effort helped the Princeton University men's basketball team overcome Dartmouth College, 85-40, on Saturday, February 12, 2022, inside Jadwin Gymnasium.

The victory moved the Tigers to 17-5 overall, 7-2 in Ivy League play, and 12-1 in Jadwin Gymnasium in 2021-22. Dartmouth's 40 points was the lowest point total a Division I opponent has scored against the Tigers this season.
