Women's Squash Topped by No. 1 Trinity in Hard Fought Match

Princeton NJ – The Princeton women's squash team fell to No. 1 Trinity in a close matchup on Saturday afternoon 4-5 in Jadwin Gymnasium.
A match that came down to the final game, the Tigers played an admirable and hard-fought battle against the top ranked Bantams.
The first, three matches were all Tiger wins. (2) Liyen Teoh, (8) Katherine Glaser, and (5) Charlotte Bell won their matches to help put the Tigers ahead 3-0.
Teoh swept her opponent 3-0, and both Glaser and Bell walked away with 3-1 victories. The Tigers and Bantams were point for point throughout many of the games played, but the Tigers were able to come up with points when it mattered most and gain an early lead.
The Bantams got on the board with wins at the No. 4 position, defeating Caroline Spahr in a four-game match 3-1, and at the No. 1 position defeating Molly Chadwick 2-3.
India Stephenson defeated her Trinity opponent 3-1, in a series of consistent games played by Stephenson, in which she outscored her opponent with scores of 11-8, 11-8, and 11-9.
Followed by two, Princeton losses at the No. 3 and No. 7 position for Andrea Toth 1-3 and Olivia Robinson 0-3, the match was all tied up 4-4.
In a hard-fought match that went to five games, Abigail Schuster came up just short, falling to her Trinity opponent 2-3.
Despite the Tiger loss, Princeton put up an incredible fight to a top ranked opponent, and will have another chance to gain a win in Jadwin on Sunday against Yale at noon.
