The visit from the Ephs' will include a familiar face, with Hesham Aly, who was a Princeton assistant coach from 2018-23, leading Williams this season.
Princeton won its season opener two weekends ago 6-3 over No. 4 Stanford and will be away from competition until going to Amherst, currently ranked No. 13, on Jan. 14.
In the Stanford match, rookie Zeina Zein became the program's first first-year since 2018 to play the season opener at the top spot, and Zein won along with fellow rookie Emma Trauber at third, Liyen Teoh at fourth, and Katherine Glaser, India Stephenson and Olivia Robinson at six, seven and nine.
The Tigers have a long history with Williams, having first played during the 1975-76 season, and Princeton has won 19 straight in the series since the Ephs' last win over Princeton on Feb. 2, 2003. Princeton is 10-0 all-time at home against Williams, including the teams' most recent meeting on Nov. 21, 2021, a 9-0 win. Glaser, Robinson, Caroline Spahr, Katherine Sapinski, Molly Chadwick and Josephine Klein are all current Tigers who won matches that day.
Williams enters the weekend at 1-1, playing twice on Nov. 18 at home with an 8-1 loss to No. 9 Cornell and a 9-0 win over No. 26 Hamilton College.
