Baseball Drops Two To Georgia

The home team jumped out with five runs over its first four at-bats which included two home runs. The Tigers got on the board with a solo blast from Noah Granet. After a Georgia run, Matt Scannell followed with another solo home run for Princeton.
The game was suspended in the bottom of the sixth on Friday and continued on Saturday. The next half frame, Kyle Vinci homered to get the Tigers within four, 7-3.
Georgia's five-run seventh inning put the contest away. Nadir Lewis and Vinci, for a second time, hit four-baggers in the ninth.
Princeton's five home runs are tied for the second most in a single game in program history.

Will David doubled home the first run for Georgia in the second frame while Sebastian Murillo brought in another tally for the Bulldogs two hitters later. The home unit added single runs in the third and fourth innings.
Justin Kim made his collegiate debut in the fifth and sixth stanzas, striking out three hitters.
Georgia scored four times in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
Caden Shapiro and Eric Marasheski each had hits while the Tigers' pitching staff struck out 10 hitters.
These two teams will face off in a doubleheader beginning Sunday at 11 a.m.
