No. 9 Heavies Earn Major Victories Over No.15 Navy

PRINCETON – The No. 9 Princeton Men's Heavyweight Team collected another Navy-Princeton Cup with an impressive 22.3-second decision over the Navy Midshipmen.

The Tigers' first varsity crossed the finish line at 5:34.1 while the Midshipmen earned a 5:56.4. Princeton's second varsity (5:42.8) picked up a 7.8-second victory while the third varsity picked up 0.4-second win.

The fourth varsity corralled a 5:51.1, six seconds ahead while the Midshipmen's fifth varsity won with 5:59.0.

"All of the boats made some solid gains over the last week of training and did a great job of executing consistently throughout every race," said Princeton head coach Greg Hughes. "We all know there's still a lot of work left to do but today was another solid step forward for our whole team."
