No. 9 Men's Heavyweight Rowing Races For Childs Cup On The Schuylkill River This Weekend

PRINCETON – The No. 9 Men's Heavyweight Rowing heads to Philadelphia to take on No. 14 Penn and No. 19 Columbia for the Childs Cup on Saturday.
Spectators should use this parking pass to park around the Schuylkill River.
The Childs Cup is the oldest cup event in collegiate sports, first raced for in 1879 on the Schuylkill River. Princeton has won 10 straight Childs Cup and 25 of the last 26. The Tigers lead the all-time series over Penn and Columbia, 51-44-12.
"It's always an honor to race in an event with such an incredible tradition and the racing looks to be fierce on all levels," said Princeton head coach Greg Hughes. "The team is excited to line up on Saturday and we will be working hard to get ready for the racing ahead."
Hughes' squad retained the Navy-Princeton Cup with a 22.3-second victory over No. 15 Navy last week. Princeton won at 1V, 2V, 3V and 4V with Navy earning a decision at 5V. Earlier this season, the Tigers defeated No. 16 Drexel/No. 20 Temple/No. 22 Georgetown. Princeton's 1V, 2V, 3V and 4V all began the spring season with wins.
