Men's Track and Field Impresses on Day One of Larry Ellis Invitational

Princeton, N.J. - The Tiger men opened up day one of competition at the Larry Ellis Invitational with some strong performances across various events on a beautiful spring day in Weaver Staidum. The distance squad showed out on Friday in addition to the Tiger throwers.
In the Men's 1500m, Duncan Miller had an impressive showing, finishing third overall with a time of 3:41.22, which will rank his time at No. 5 all-time for Princeton. Nicholas Bendsten also dominated, finishing fifth overall with a time of 3:41.42. Bendsten's performance will put him at No. 6 all-time in the event for the Tigers.
Jack Stanley finished within the top ten in sixth with a time of 3:43.68, and Myles Hogan finished in tenth with a time of 3:45.52.
Dan O'Brien finished at 3:49.15, followed by Connor McCormick at 3:49.68, and Josh Zelek with a time of 3:49.72.
In the Men's 800m, Ethan Reese crossed the finish line in sixth at 1:49.23, followed by Kieran McDermott in 12th with a time of 1:51.05. Jordan Kaplan finished at 1:51.30, Connor Chen at 1:52.39, and Josiah Taylor at 1:53.45.
In the Men's 3000m Steeplechase, Cooper Austen was the top tiger to finish in ninth with a time of 9:06.12, followed by Jackson Shorten at 9:20.38, and Connor Livingston at 9:24.19.
In the Men's 5000m, Matt Farrell finished in sixth with a time of 14:11.09, followed by Anthony Monte in seventh with a time of 14:12.27. Connor Nisbet also competed, finishing at 14:29.60, and Jarrett Kirk in 14:29.63. The Tiger distance squad was a consistent force on their home track, finishing with many admirable performances across Friday's races.
In the Men's Hammer Throw, Asher Robbins took first place with a throw of 62.75m, which ranks his mark sixth all-time for Princeton. In the Men's Javelin, Zach Jaramillo was the lone Tiger to compete and finished with a respectable throw of 60.80m.
The Tigers will continue to compete on Day two of the Larry Ellis Invitational beginning at 11:00 a.m. The full schedule of events can be found HERE.
