Caden Pierce Earns Third Ivy Player Of The Week Award Of 2023-24

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the third time in the 2023-24 season, sophomore Caden Pierce of the Princeton University men's basketball team was named Ivy League Player of the Week.

Last week, Princeton helped the Tigers move to 12-1 and wrap up non-conference play on Dec. 30 in an 84-82 victory at Delaware. Pierce recorded his fifth double-double of the season and the 12th of this career, recording a game-high 21 points on 9-for-11 shooting from the field along with a game-high 10 rebounds. Pierce also handed out four assists and had a team-high two steals.

A Tiger has now won Ivy Player of the Week five times in 2023-24; Pierce received the honor on Dec. 4 and Nov. 12, sophomore Xaivian Lee on Nov. 27 and senior Matt Allocco on Nov. 20. Additionally, Pierce was named Metropolitan Basketball Writer's Association (MBWA) Player of the Week on Dec. 5.

Pierce and Princeton are in action next at 2 p.m. on Jan. 6 against Harvard inside Jadwin Gymnasium in the Tigers' Ivy opener.
