Women's Golf Closes Fall Slate At Stanford Intercollegiate

The final event of the fall slate is set for October 18-20 as Princeton heads to Palo Alto for the Stanford Intercollegiate hosted by Dr. Condoleezza Rice.

The Tigers will tee off against 18 other full teams at the event -- one of the premier women's college golf events of the fall calendar each year.

Princeton is ranked No. 71 out of 279 Division I women's golf programs in the first national rankings of the season, and will be up against a field full of the nation's top teams. Joining Princeton in the field this week are No. 3 Stanford, No. 4 Arizona State, No. 7 Texas, No. 12 Virginia, No. 14 USC, No. 16 LSU, No. 22 Cal, No. 25 UCLA, No. 31 Iowa State, No. 41 UC-Davis, No. 43 San Jose State, No. 44 Washington, No. 52 Southern Methodist, No. 60 Oregon State, No. 61. Pepperdine, No. 73 Colorado, No. 80 Denver and No. 95 San Diego State.

The host Cardinal are the defending NCAA champions, and four of the eight teams that reached match play at the national championship -- Stanford, UCLA, LSU and USC -- will be in the field this week alongside the Tigers. All total, 11 of the 30 teams who reached the NCAA Championship tournament are teeing off this weekend in the Stanford Intercollegiate.

The teams in the field will play a Par-71, 6,278-yard Stanford Golf Course. Teams will play 18 holes each day, and Princeton is paired alongside Denver and San Diego State for the first two rounds which begin for the Tigers with 8:25 a.m. EST tee times on October 18.
